Veronica Hosfeld

Veronica “Roni” Hosfeld is the owner of D’Olivo in downtown Walla Walla and a longtime champion of healthy, flavorful living in the Valley.

After more than two decades in public service, a chance stop in a small Colorado olive oil shop opened her eyes to the world of ultra-premium oils and balsamic vinegars, and an unexpected spark that would eventually reshape her life.

In 2013, Roni brought that inspiration home, building D’Olivo from scratch in just a few short months. She immersed herself in rigorous certification and training through Veronica Foods, curated a staff who share her passion for teaching and hospitality, and expanded the shop into a destination for culinary exploration.

At the heart of Roni’s work is connection with customers, with community, and with the Walla Walla Valley she proudly calls home. Her warm, generous presence has also become essential to Friends of Children of Walla Walla, where she helps steer the organization’s annual Breakfast with Friends fundraiser. Her leadership blends creativity, service, and a deep belief in nurturing a healthier, more connected community.

Whether she’s guiding a tasting at D’Olivo or rallying support for local youth, Roni brings the same wholehearted enthusiasm: an open door, a contagious laugh, and a commitment to helping people experience something better than they expected.
