Tom Flookes
Retired IBM Business Executive Tom Flookes has made Walla Walla his home, alongside his wife, Dawn. He came to Walla Walla bringing his zest for supporting vibrant communities with him. Flookes currently serves as treasurer on the Board of Directors for Friends of Children of Walla Walla.
Flookes graduated with a BBA and marketing degree from Concordia University, which he put to work for IBM for four decades. His extensive experience in sales and marketing expanded into information technology and financial services.
Joining the fight against cancer as an American Cancer Society volunteer in 2014, Tom serves as a board member for Washington. Leading by example, Flookes went all pink in 2018 for the Real Men Wear Pink campaign and received the 2020 St. George Award for his service. He organized “The Soiree” in March, which raised $400,000 for cancer research and benefitted local programs. Flookes also works to support the underinsured as a member of the SOS Health Services Board.
