Liz Knapke
Liz Knapke brings more than 15 years of experience in nonprofit leadership, brand development, and community engagement to her role as Executive & Development Director of Friends of Children of Walla Walla.
A strategic and relationship-driven leader, Liz is known for building systems and experiences that connect people, strengthen partnerships, and bring mission-based work to life. Before joining Friends, she led the Walla Walla Valley Wine Alliance through a period of transformation - growing membership, revitalizing the regional brand, and creating experiences that elevated the Walla Walla Valley on a national stage.
Her career also includes national marketing and partnership leadership with Tyson Foods and the American Culinary Federation, where she designed large-scale campaigns and community initiatives focused on connection, creativity, and purpose.
Liz holds a Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management from The Ohio State University and is a graduate of Leadership Walla Walla and the Executive Preparation Institute for Nonprofit Leaders. She is an active community volunteer and believes deeply in the power of mentorship, belonging, and relationships that change lives.
