Chris Drabek

Drabek grew up in Walla Walla and is a graduate of Whitman College. He received his Master’s in Teaching from City University and his EdD in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from the University of Washington. Drabek is currently the Director of Training and Development for Clean Air, Inc. of Fort Collins, Colorado.

Drabek, a former teacher and administrator, has been a supporter of Friends since its inception in 1999. As the principal of Davis Elementary from 2004-2015, Drabek collaborated with Friends to develop the first school-based mentoring program in the valley— what is now known as the ABC Program, which is replicated in every school in Walla Walla and College Place.

Drabek has served on the NPO boards for the Community Center for Youth, Exchange Club Parent Aide, Walla Walla Community College Early Childhood Education, and the Walla Walla University Professional Education Advisory Board. Currently, he is serving his final year of nine as a Trustee for the Blue Mountain Community Foundation where he is on the Scholarship Committee.
